Are you using your qualifications as an Architect to your advantage?

We’re working to promote the profession of architecture in Western Australia.

While virtually anyone can draw up plans and call themselves a building designer, only a registered architect can use the term ‘architect’. Unfortunately the real difference between a building designer and architect is not widely understood by the community.

To better inform the general public the Board is undertaking an education campaign to promote the benefits of using a registered architect. As part of this initiative, we’re introducing a Registered Architects logo and encouraging you as Architects to display this logo and your registration number prominently on business stationery, plans, brochures, office signage and project sign boards.

Under the regulations for the new Architects Act it will become compulsory to use your registration number on stationery and projects. The logo is a unique symbol that lets the public and clients know the person they are dealing with is a professional. The Board hopes that you will join with us in raising the profile of our profession.
